Poster Analysis
What I have learned: So far from the posters that I have analysed I have noticed some similarities and some differences between them. One thing that has been present throughout all of the poster is a sense of danger shown through the use of low key lighting. This is least used in the third trailer but since the third poster was not a horror this is to be expected. Another thing used is typical horror tropes throughout the poster such as dark or dangerous looking locations. In the first poster we have a mansion the second we have a dark room and the third we have a graveyard. This suggests that horror posters and psychological thriller poster have many similarities. However the third poster focuses a little more on action through the use of props than the other e.g. the use of a gun. However the other two posters don't use any props and prefer to keep their audience on edge because they don't reveal any crucial details about the film since they don't use any props as well as keep the tension storing up for the films release, this is a typical conventions of a horror posters.

DeleteExcellent so far- please check over them and ensure for all that you explain:
ReplyDelete- what the decision suggests
-are there more than one interpretation
-have you zoomed in eg on the trees in the first one- why are they like that, the eye contact with the viewer, the hidden features that you wouldnt normally look at as they are all purposeful
-remember to change your comments about the credit block
- why the use of the word 'needs' what does that suggest
